Worth the Upgrade?

Source: Apple Newsroom

Recently, Apple announced their yearly iPhone models and everything that is new and how this year’s iPhone’s are the best iPhone’s yet. However, just because they are the best, doesn’t necessarily mean that they are worth upgrading.

A couple months ago, I upgraded to the iPhone 12 Pro Max and since I upgraded, I was dreading this event since I was scared to find out if I wasted my money on getting the iPhone 12 Pro when I could have waited for the iPhone 13 Pro.

Here, I want to compare the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro…

First impressions of shooting RAW on the iPhone 12 Pro Max

Back in 2020, Apple released Apple ProRAW as one of the standout and unique features on the new iPhone 12 Pro models. And I wrote an article on why I thought that was a big deal and how amazing it will be for mobile photographers and those who want to get the most out of their camera system.

After using it for about a month, editing and taking photos in RAW with the iPhone 12 Pro Max, I am more than impressed and happy using Apple ProRAW.

First, my mobile photography setup. As previously mentioned, I have the iPhone 12…

So, something interesting that I have learned in the last month. People can really surprise you. Sometimes in brilliant ways to make you happier than you have ever been before, others in ways that bring out a whole new side of anger and rage in you.

And in my case, I don’t even think I can find the right combination of words to describe how I was feeling. It was a combination of confusion, exhaustion and all while laughing and facepalm.

Earlier this month, I was trying to sell my MacBook Pro (although it did not go according to plan)…

Features that I hope are added to the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro

Fall is approaching quickly and that means new iPhone’s! This is the favourite time of the year for nerds and geeks like myself who is always looking forward to what the next big iPhone will be and, nowadays, how many versions of the phone they’ll have.

The iPhone 13 Pro is the one that I am most excited for since it will have all the latest and greatest features. …

My first impressions of the best iPhone yet.

Last week, unfortunately, my iPhone SE that I loved, broke. And while I was trying to wait for the iPhone 13 since it is only a few months away, I needed a new phone as soon as possible.

Previously, I went with the budget iPhone SE and got amazing value out of it. The only problem that I had with the iPhone SE was the battery life. Normally, during a day at work, I would have to plug it in and let it charge, but I needed to continue with my work, so I would be without a phone for…

Be careful selling online

I am not much of a storyteller, but I think there is a few things to be learned from my experience last night. I wouldn’t want this to happen to anyone else, so I thought I would share it here.

Let me preface this by saying I have sold many items on FaceBook Marketplace and Kijiji, and they’ve all worked out great in the past. However, this time, not so much.

That being said, story time!

About a week ago, I decided to sell my 13-inch MacBook Pro and use the money to upgrade to the 16-inch. I was able…

A year ago I started writing on Medium, and surprisingly, learned a lot about myself.

Photo by Glenn Carstens-Peters on Unsplash

It was at the start of the pandemic when I discovered what Medium was. I watched a Shelby Church video about how much money she made on Medium, and this was the very first time that I heard about the platform. Since I was not working and was spending too much time at home, I needed to find something to do, so I started writing on Medium, and, while at the time I was not the biggest bookworm or anything, I decided to subscribe and read what others are writing.

It was also during this time that I deleted all…

Why you should be excited for the Fall update to iOS

Photo by Neil Soni on Unsplash

A couple of weeks ago during Apple’s WWDC event, the operating system that we are all looking forward to and most likely all use the most is iOS, and iOS 15 is coming this fall. It seems like the biggest features that have been added to iOS 15 are all about connectivity and bringing together people together in more ways than before given the current status of the world. So, out of all the features that have been announced, here are the ones that I am the most excited for.

FaceTime

FaceTime got some major updates, but there are a couple…

Why the M1 iMac should be the only one available

Photo by Quaritsch Photography on Unsplash

Since the release of the M1 chip from Apple, they have slowly been updating and moving away from Intel chips in their machines. Which only makes sense, the M1 chip is much more powerful, made by Apple, using the same coding language, so why bother with the Intel chips?

A few months ago, Apple redesigned and released the new iMac with a 24-inch screen that includes the M1 chip as well as a whole bunch of new features (hardware and software) that take full advantage of the M1 chip. When Apple released this model of iMac, they got rid of…

Features too look forward to in the Fall

Source: Apple Newsroom

The long-awaited WWDC 21 Keynote presentation happened not too long ago. Apple nerds all around tuned in to find out what new features are going to be added to iOS, iPadOS, watchOS and macOS.

It feels like the biggest thing that Apple focused on was features that they wanted to add to their Apple Ecosystem as a whole, rather than focusing on the individual devices and software.

We all use our Mac’s everyday for productivity, play, entertainment and leisure. So, this is the software update that I was looking forward to the most out of the rest, and honestly. I…
