Why I buy Apple devices
I am in the Apple Ecosystem forever and here is why
--
Being a tech enthusiast, a lot of friends and family often question “Why do you buy Apple?” Which is a completely valid question.
Android and Windows devices are much more customizable, flexible, easy to repair, countless more options and ultimately cheaper in a lot of ways. So it only makes sense to get these devices right? You have devices that can do almost everything an Apple device can do, but in some cases, they can do more and are kinder to your wallet?
There are two reasons why I personally buy Apple products, one I feel can apply to most people, and the other, well I think its more towards the tech nerd in me.
First, Apple devices just work. The average consumer, especially the ones who aren’t the best with technology, just want something that they can pick up and use with minimal confusion or question on how to use the device. And this is what Apple does for its products and has always been about! Since the launch of the Macintosh and the first iPhone, they were the ones that set the standards and expectations on how a computer or a smartphone should be used. Now, you give an iPhone, or an iPad to a five year old, and they pick up how to use it almost instantly. Thinking about it, its almost unnatural, but that is what Apple does. They spend their time, resources and efforts making the most user friendly devices. The competitors have tried to copy them, but not copy them. The way I view Android is that they have spent their time making a user interface that is similar to Apple (which is why for the most part, I find Androids easy to use), but still different from Apple by making it much more customizable. However, no matter how hard they try, ultimately, Apple beat them to the pitch. They were the ones who made the hardware and the software first, and their reputation of that has stuck for decades.
Second, the history behind Apple. I, like many others, have been a fan of Apple products for many years now, and throughout the time that I have been a fan of their products, I have seen them grow. Comparing the first iPhone to where we are now, its so funny to think about how much progress has been made in a short amount of time.
This isn’t to say that other technology companies don’t have a history, but n Apple makes its history known as is very proud of it. Every single event, there is some reference to Apple’s past, where it started and where it is today, and I love seeing their progression and evolution as a company.
They changed the world and did things before anyone else did, with the Macintosh, the iPod and the iPhone, and seeing their passion (and Steve Jobs passion) to change the world and mold it to how you want it is why I buy and support Apple.
